Does this plugin work with MyBB 1.8.25? If it does, I am totally lost. I installed the plugin and selected all, but I don't see any options in the BBCode editor or any buttons to insert videos.

Yes it does. Doesn't add anything to the BBC editor.
You just need to enable each video sharing site in under SAVE settings.
Then insert the links into a post.

I understand. I was also under the impression I can add local links. My site is just being used for Intranet in my home, and I just wanted to paste or point to files stored on my local C: drive. Is this possible with this plugin?

Maybe haven't tried it though. There should be some local options.
