Can you please confirm that only admins can create new albums? I could not find an answer to this topic a few weeks ago, but I figured that must be what "manage gallery" in the permissions matrix meant, and so I bought and installed the product. As I recall from the install - I'm now a couple of sites removed from the old install - it was not possible.
I posted a new update that will allow non admin's who have the "manage gallery" permission. The option to add/edit/delete categories and rearrange them.

Member Galleries if you give a membergroup the personal gallery permission they can then create their own mini gallery located under the member galleries section
