But may I ask, if the 100% image quality adjustment for JPEG did not fix the problem on my site, the update won't make any difference will it? I have it set to 100% now and the image quality loss is still there.

It will since I used a new function to generate the thumbnail to use png instead.

I cannot possibly tell you how much I appreciate it. thank you!
