You should wait to have a new content in RSS link.

RE: RSS Feed Poster 1.5 - sheldon365 - 03-26-2011

I am facing a problem and cant seem to find a solution to it. Say I have added 20 rss feeds url to rss feed poster plugin. Each of these rss feeds urls give out new rss feeds every day(Rechecked by me) so there is no difference in the rss feeds frequency comin from the main site . Now I get new posts with the rss feed poster plugin for only the first 8 rss feed urls. The posts for remaining 12 rss urls created by the plugin come after 3 days or 6 days or sometimes 20 day intervals. I get new posts from all the rss feed urls but the problem is the remaining 12 are not getting updated everyday.

This is what I have tried.
1. I tried disabling and reactivating the plugin - No effect

2. I thought of creating another plugin and renaming it and dividing the work between the 2 or creating 3 different plugins. But I do not know how to do that. A mere renaming of the rssfeedposter.php to rssfeedposter test1.php gives a error.

What solution would you suggest???

RE: RSS Feed Poster 1.5 - Littleaton - 04-16-2011

Have there been anymore updates on this?

I installed it yesterday, and have it pulling 2 rss feeds.

First is from a wordpress blog, and second is from my youtube page.

THe blog posts only pull a few lines of txt, and it is not formatted at all.

And the youtube feed pulls just a bunch of html, and displays it as html but has no video or info there.

Any updates on how to get this to pull info correctly, and style it?

RE: RSS Feed Poster 1.5 - ike - 04-29-2011

Hi!

Some days ago I did a nearly complete rewrite of the rssfeedposter task. Now it does rss, rdf and atom. I had problems with several dupes what is solved as well. Additionally I added a html2bbcode engine I wrote for another project. For example see this post:
https://news.piratenpartei.de/showthread.php?tid=48411&pid=175013#pid175013

Even pictures are possible:
https://news.piratenpartei.de/showthread.php?tid=48377

Since the html parser is very modular it should be no real problem to enhance it. But it should be nearly complete. (except the ability for videos)

Finally I reordered the parsing behaviour so that rss posts are posted with the date of the rss post. Additionally they are posted in reverse direction. That means that the oldest post is posted at first then the less old etc.

It works for me. But I don't know if it's working for other persons as well. Maybe best is if the developers could contact me so that my changes could be reviewed and maybe could be a part of a new version.

Michael

Would love to see the changes made haven't dealt with rdf feeds before so interested in that along with the html2bbcode engine sounds very interesting.
