Yeah it is pending approval there you can find in the first post of this topic too

When you add or edit a feed the option 'HTML enabled' needs a little bit of tweaking. If enabled all the actual HTML from the feed it's posting is simply inserted as text into the post (see attachment 1).

If unchecked then only the subject of the post is inserted into the post. In either case however it's good to see that the link to the RSS post is working correctly now. Smile

My second attachment shows what the feed is supposted to look like. After reviewing some of the code for the RSS poster, it's clear that is simply isn't expecting to find more than one URL. Further the various parts of it that handle HTML in a post need some tweaking.

A couple of small bugs to report. The RSS poster doesn't handle "quotes" very well in the subject of any RSS feed. If quotes are in the feed they are posted as HTML in the post and should probably just be removed.

When using Internet explorer 8 the table for the Feed URL in the control panel is stretched to the right if the URL of the feed is too long to fit in your browser window. This oddly doesn't happen with Firefox.

This is an awesome plugin and exactly what I was looking for. Going to install it and test it now!

Many thanks!

Newbie alert! Just installed the plug-in on my fresh install of MyBB 1.6.0, but none of the feeds are showing up (i've added 7 for testing, all very standard feeds) and created a special forum just for them that is currently hidden from view for all users except myself.

I'm running php5.3.1, fopen is enabled, MySQL 5.0.20. Is there anything else I need? I'm not getting any errors showing.

The plug-in seems to be something I've been after for a number of years, but so disappointed that I can't see to get it working.

Make sure the feeds are standard RSS based and not atom based feeds. If you find the word atom inside the feed it currently will not work.

Otherwise I would check the error logs for any relevant information.

RE: RSS Feed Poster 1.0.4.1 - groobs - 10-15-2010

All fairly standard RSS feeds: http://newsrss.bbc.co.uk/rss/sportonline_uk_edition/football/teams/b/blackburn_rovers/rss.xml is one for instance.

Nothing is showing up in my php_error log.

It's been a month are there any updates for this mod? Specifically the way it handles HTML in the RSS. My eBay links are still broken.

RE: RSS Feed Poster 1.0.4.1 - MyBBHacks - 10-20-2010

HTML i still need to look into when I have time. Hoping to add ATOM RSS Feed support as well soon.

Did my RSS feed above work on your tests?

RE: RSS Feed Poster 1.5 - MyBBHacks - 11-01-2010
